Middle School Band Concert Tonight!
I’m not student teaching there anymore so I won’t get to direct anything (boo), but I get to go back and see all my little kiddies and the cooperating teachers! I’m so excited! :D Ha, I don’t think I was even this excited to see a middle school concert when my sisters were in it.

Busy Day!
It has been a looong day. I’m now sitting in my bed, in pajamas, watching a Lifetime movie and blogging at just 9 pm on a Saturday, and I feel like this is perfectly fine.

30 Day Challenge Day 12 - How you found out about...
This is kind of a boring question but… I don’t even remember how I found out about Tumblr, I just remember seeing people mention it around various message boards, and occasionally a search would come up with a Tumblr page. So that’s how I found it.
I made one because I thought it would be fun and something to do, as well as a place to organize my thoughts.

The kids were out of control today...
Ugh, I hope it was just because it was Friday and they were antsy and ready for the weekend. They were so chattery though. And they got way too excited over a game I played in the 3rd grade class. I don’t know if I’ll use that again. It got out of hand yesterday to the point that a kid ended up crying. That didn’t happen today, but they were just more wild in general.

Today was a good day :)
I had a productive day of school (other than the 5th grade getting extremely out of hand), after school I had a practice with the Wesley band - some of the best people I know, I absolutely love them - and then I went out with one of my girlfriends that I haven’t seen in a long time.
And now I need to go to bed. I’m so glad tomorrow’s Friday! Just a few hours of school then...

Well, yesterday I got Navigator to really do some good rounding up and accepting the bit, which was a big accomplishment! We need to keep working of course, but it was a really good ride :)

Something that annoys me? When motorists don't...
I should probably elaborate…
Today I went out to ride Navigator. He is pastured a little ways from the main barn/arena, so to get to it we have to tack up near the pasture which is off of a road. As I was about to get on, a truck drove by and the driver whistled at us. I whistle at Navigator fairly frequently, so it didn’t bother him, though it annoyed me.

3rd grade lesson plan complete!
Now I just need to make up a 5th grade one (involving recorders, yikes!) by Tuesday and a 2nd grade one (about South America) by Wednesday. Busy times!

So, I was looking for horses on Craigslist...
Found a pretty, tall thoroughbred mare for sale. $700. Just one town over from me.
I want to go see this horse. And then possibly bring her home with me.
Ugh, I need to stop searching for horses when I’m not really in the market for one…though really, now wouldn’t be that bad of a time to buy one I don’t think. I’m pretty sure I could make it work.

I am fairly lucky in that I have never been seriously injured from riding. I have a strong sense of balance and I haven’t even fallen very many times.
I did take a pretty bad fall a couple of weeks ago though, and I think I did end up with a mild concussion from that. I woke up middle of the night after it happened and when I opened my eyes the room was spinning…

Overall really. :)
My music lesson went even better than it did when I taught it yesterday. I am getting more and more comfortable infront of the class, and my singing is…improving. Sort of. I’m not nearly as bad as I was on day one at least! Hopefully I’ll just keep improving.
