Thinking about the jobs made me restless so I’ve just now finished up as much of the application as I can
One of these positions sounds really good - probably better than a combination band/choir job - and it’s only an hour and a half from home. It’s elementary music, but lately I’ve come to the realization that I can teach elementary music. And I think I would enjoy it too.
So tomorrow morning maybe I’ll wake up extra early before band camp, print off the application, fill it out, scan it back into the computer and email it off to the principal and band director.
That would be good.
Now, time for bed.
The kids were out of control today…
Ugh, I hope it was just because it was Friday and they were antsy and ready for the weekend. They were so chattery though. And they got way too excited over a game I played in the 3rd grade class. I don’t know if I’ll use that again. It got out of hand yesterday to the point that a kid ended up crying. That didn’t happen today, but they were just more wild in general.
Next week I have to start teaching everything 2nd grade through 5th. Blah. That’s a lot. I just wanna go back to middle school band. I actually understood those kids better! And I just enjoy band more.
Oh well…
Didn’t get to ride today. :P It was unusually chilly. I also had to go home and make cream cheese mints for the bridal shower on Sunday. Should be a lot of fun! I’m just ready to be able to stop worrying about it.
Therapy Session Complete.
I had the longest day, starting with getting myself into a pointless little argument with Jon this morning, and lasting all the way through elementary school when I had to teach the last 15 minutes of 1st grade alone (the regular teacher left…and the children went crazy). Not to mention I’ve had a bit of a headache all day.
So I went out to see the horses and groomed Navigator for a good 45 minutes. And I feel sooo much better now.
Changed my theme… weird
Also, my Church’s traditional Saturday before Easter Pancake Breakfast is tomorrow morning. My boyfriend and I are planning to leave around 8:20.
So why am I still up at 1:15 in the morning?
I am slightly crazy.
Also, Mean Girls just started on TV… and I kinda wanna watch it. :B

I’m so close to being done. I mean, I’ve still got finals next week… but that’s gonna be cake compared to all this stuff I’ve had to finish this week :P
I’m a Music Major!….
But right now, I just wish I wasn’t. I sometimes don’t know if I made the right decision four years ago to go into music when I didn’t think I could handle veterinary medicine. Sometimes I think I should’ve majored in art. I just wanna doodle and draw, and art makes me happy!
Also, I’d rather be doing some kind of big painting project for my final, instead of writing a bazillion paper on instrument repair. :P
Sometimes I don’t know if I even want to be a teacher. I’m very worried that I won’t be good enough. I’m very very worried that my ear isn’t good enough to be a band director.
Blah, why didn’t I have all these realizations when I was a freshman, instead of a senior about to go out and student teach?!?
